Gaming is More than Left Handed Mouses
Regardless of which hand is dominant, right/left; that is no concern with playing games on the web. As long as you play the game and have fun, you are doing just fine. Isn’t it a bit interesting that the fact you’re left-handed matters in many other games/sports but not online gaming. With online gaming, at the worst you’ll need to get a mouse to accomodate if you’re left-handed, but then again you probably already had one – so that’s it. Now onto some cool tips for gaming online.
No matter what you do, you need to have the right kind of gear. If you only play games online once in a while, this might not be a big deal. You can simply switch the buttons on your mouse. But you should think about what you plan to do, and getting a quality left-handed mouse would be advised for EverQuest, World of Warcraft, etc. But do you want to perform at your best? If you do, then think about that left-handed mouse because it will make a difference in many situations. Also, it doesn’t have to be gold-plated; you can find great deals almost anywhere.
It’s really best to avoid the alpha dog competitive spirit with gaming. There is an appreciation for humility with your playing amongst others. Everyone has different skill sets, and when you can out-perform something over another person, don’t be a jerk about it and run your mouth. Don’t get upset when you lose, and it’s normal for everyone to lose to someone. Be straight and even about it, tell them you enjoyed the game, congratulations, and thank them. So then just think about what made you lose, and see if you can do anything about it. This alone should make you very popular on your gaming server.
Beyond all else, you should not forget to have fun with it. Entertainment is the main focus of these games. You should not replace real life with these games. If you get too serious about a game, step away, take a break and do something different. Play a different game or leave your computer entirely for a few hours. If you have stopped having fun playing your game the fact is that your friends playing with you probably aren’t having fun either.
Just have fun when you’re online gaming. When people spend hundreds and thousands of hours creating games; they are made to be fun – serious fun. No question, if you really get into it heavily, then there are couple points to think about. If you’re left-handed, then get the left-handed mouse and do the shortcuts on the keyboard. Keep in mind about humility and working with a team. You’ll have a better time when there are no problems or issues.
